My Philosophy
Ethical Business Practices
I am committed to ethical behavior in business. In my career, I've repeatedly faced choices - to do the right thing or not. I seek partnerships with people who understand the importance of doing the right thing.
Committed to Justice
I am committed to justice in our world - social, environmental, economic, and racial. If your business is seeking change in any of these areas, or you too support these ideals, I would be thrilled to partner with you in your work.
Strategic Partnership
My journey has taught me more than just numbers; it has shown me the power of making informed financial decisions in real-time. I’m here not just as your accountant, but as a strategic partner, ready to support your vision and goals.
Support and Mentorship
I have been fortunate to have trusted associates and mentors who helped guide me through those tough decisions. Knowing the huge advantage of having someone to bounce ideas off of, I want to help fill that gap for small business owners. Stronger businesses mean a stronger community!
My Journey

From Brisbane to Business Success
I was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia, the eldest child of entrepreneurial parents, Dennis and Glenda. My father, a welder, and my mother, a bookkeeper, built a successful construction company during my childhood. After graduating from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Business - Accounting and completing the Chartered Accountant designation (comparable to a CPA in the US), I joined the family business. You could say that both accounting and entrepreneurship are in my blood!
Immigrating to the US
In the early 90s, I immigrated to the US and in the decades since then, have owned businesses in the manufacturing, hospitality, and wellness industries. Most recently, I served as the Accounting Manager for an IT company with $5 million in sales. Unlike most accountants who report on past events, I've spent my career making things happen as a hands-on small business owner. From sales to purchasing, HR to marketing, I’ve been responsible for it all, just like you. The financial background I possess ensured each of my businesses stood on solid financial reporting and compliance.
